BLACKSTAR PADDED CAREFULLY along the ShadowClan/ThunderClan border. The border patrols had already been out today, but it couldn't hurt to go over the borders once again -- not that he didn't trust his warriors to do a good job, but you can't be too careful. Tipping his nose into the air, he opened his jaws to scent the air better. Nothing seems unusual, the leader thought calmly.
SUDDENLY, BLACKSTAR'S EARS pricked. What's that! He had heard something -- a rustle, a snap -- on the ThunderClan side of the border. Sliding behind a bush, he waited warily for someone to appear. It had better not be a trespasser, he thought. There hadn't been too much trouble with ThunderClan lately, but he wouldn't put it past them to try and steal some territory. Freezing, Blackstar waited for the ThunderClan cat to come into view.
[OOC: Wow, that's really short. Sorry. D: ]

I don't think they're coming this way." Snowbird said quietly, silently padding over to her leader. She wasn't sure whether Blackstar had already chased a cat away, or whether he was waiting for another cat to come by. The warriess peeked outside of the bush, the snap that they both seemed to have heard earlier stopped. Snowbird hoped that she hadn't blown Blackstar's cover; she knew she was light on her feet, but everyone makes mistakes.
"The border patrol's already been run." The she cat whispered. Snowbird couldn't help but grin a bit at the statement. She had been part of said patrol. Things were just the way they should be in shadowclan; quiet and devoid of tresspassers. Devoid of badgers too, but that wasn't something that Shadowclan usually had to worry about. Their woodsy home was nearest human territory. No animal in their right mind would come around here unless they weren't scared of the two-leggers.
